涌启爱科技(上海)有限公司 (English name: The Telos Co., Ltd.; “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Lingting myverse mobile application (“Lingting” or the “App”). We value your privacy and the security of your personal information. We process personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, the Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China, the Data Security Law of the People's Republic of China, and other applicable laws and regulations.
This Policy applies only to the Lingting App. It does not apply to our corporate websites or to products and services independently provided by third parties that may be accessible through the App.
Please read this Policy carefully before using Lingting. Where required by law, we will provide a separate notice and obtain your separate consent before processing sensitive personal information, providing personal information to another personal information processor, or providing personal information outside mainland China. If you do not consent to information processing required only for an optional feature, you may choose not to use that feature, and other features will generally remain available.
When you register or sign in, we process your mobile phone number, SMS verification code, invitation code, and authentication credentials to send and verify codes, validate invitation eligibility, create your account, maintain your signed-in status, and protect account security. A mobile phone number is necessary to register and sign in. Without it, you cannot create or access an account.
SMS verification codes are used only to verify your identity. We will never ask you to disclose a verification code to another person.
You may set or update your display name and profile image. We process a profile image only after you actively select or capture it and confirm that you want to upload it. The image is used to display your profile and identify you in social features. Except for information needed to display your account, profile information is generally optional.
To provide podcast browsing, search, playback, saving, and queue features, we process your search terms, browsing and playback history, playback progress, saved or queued status, podcast-related notes, and related activity records. We use this information to carry out your requests, synchronize status between sessions or devices, and maintain service continuity.
When you actively use text discussions, voice discussions, voice control, voice input, rewriting, discussion summaries, or memory features, we may process:
We process this information to recognize voice commands, transcribe speech, generate AI responses relevant to the current context, save discussion records, and provide a continuous, personalized conversation experience at your direction. Voice recordings, conversations, and long-term memories may contain sensitive personal information. Please do not submit government identifiers, financial account details, precise location, health information, or other highly sensitive information unless it is necessary for your use, and do not provide another person's information unless you have a lawful right to do so.
AI services can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate content. Do not rely on AI output as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions.
When you use moments, friends, invitations, co-listening, comments, likes, or group chat, we process your public profile, user identifier, friend and invitation relationships, phone numbers of invitees that you choose to submit, moments or notes, co-listening content, comments, likes, group messages, and related interactions. We use this information to display content, establish social relationships, complete invitations, maintain groups, and provide messaging.
You may provide another person's phone number or personal information only if you have obtained lawful authorization or have another lawful basis to do so. Content you post or send may be shown to other users according to the audience setting you select. Review both the content and its audience before posting.
When you contact us by email, we process your email address, message content, account-verification information, and records necessary to resolve your request. We use this information to respond to questions and complaints, verify your identity, and carry out personal-information rights requests. Please do not include sensitive personal information unrelated to your request.
To keep the service secure and reliable and to diagnose problems, our servers may automatically record your IP address, request time, network status, App version, operating-system version, device model, API access logs, and error logs. We process this information only as necessary for operations, security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and legal compliance, and not for advertising unrelated to this Policy.
Lingting may request the following device permissions when you use the corresponding feature:
You can manage permissions in your device settings at any time. Withdrawing a permission does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal, but the corresponding feature may stop working.
Lingting does not currently request access to your device contacts, precise location, or advertising tracking. If we introduce a feature that needs such access, we will explain it and obtain any required consent before collection.
The Lingting App does not use cookies or similar technologies for third-party advertising tracking. We may use secure local storage to retain authentication credentials and necessary settings so that you remain signed in and the service remains secure. Authentication credentials are stored in a protected area of your device and are deleted or invalidated through the applicable process when you sign out or close your account.
We do not sell your personal information. To provide specific features, we engage the following service providers to process information on our behalf, or provide them with information necessary for a feature when you choose to use it. We use contracts, access controls, security assessments, and other measures to require service providers to process information only for agreed purposes.
The providers' own policies and our service agreements with them also govern their specific processing. If the services, recipients, or categories of information materially change, we will update this Policy and obtain renewed consent where required by law.
Apart from the circumstances above, we provide or share personal information only when:
If a merger, division, restructuring, asset transfer, or similar transaction changes the entity processing your personal information, we will identify the recipient and its contact information as required by law and require it to continue complying with this Policy. If the recipient changes the original purposes or methods of processing, it must obtain consent again as required by law.
As a general rule, personal information collected and generated in mainland China will be stored in mainland China. Because OpenAI services may be provided by infrastructure and entities located outside mainland China, text, voice, or contextual information necessary for an AI feature may be transferred to and processed outside mainland China when you use that feature.
Before a cross-border transfer occurs, we will complete the applicable data-export compliance process, tell you the overseas recipient's identity and contact information, purposes and methods of processing, categories of personal information, and how to exercise your rights with the recipient, and obtain your separate consent where required by law. If you do not consent to the relevant overseas processing, do not use AI features that depend on OpenAI. Other features that do not depend on that processing will remain available.
Please avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information or another person's personal information in an AI conversation.
We retain personal information only for the shortest period necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law. We determine retention as follows:
If a legally required retention period has not expired, or immediate deletion from a backup is technically impracticable, we will stop processing the information other than storing it and taking necessary security measures, and will delete or anonymize it within the applicable backup-rotation cycle.
We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity and risk of the information, including access controls, authentication, transport protection, encryption or de-identification, logging and audit measures, employee permissions, and vendor management. These measures are designed to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.
No internet service can be absolutely secure. If personal information is or may have been leaked, altered, or lost, we will take remedial action and, as required by law, report the incident to the competent authorities and notify affected individuals of the circumstances, possible harm, measures taken or planned, and steps they can take to reduce risk.
Protect your account, verification codes, and devices. If you identify a security risk involving your account or personal information, contact us promptly at hi@lingting.ai.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
You can exercise certain rights through profile editing, content deletion, and device permission settings already available in the App. To close your account, delete other data, withdraw consent, or exercise another right, email hi@lingting.ai and describe your request. To protect your account, we may request information necessary to verify your identity against existing account information, but we will not request information unrelated to the request.
We will act promptly and will generally complete verification, response, or processing within 15 business days, unless the law provides otherwise or the request is complex. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why. Reasonable requests are generally free; where permitted by law, we may charge only necessary costs or refuse requests that are repetitive or manifestly excessive.
After account closure, we stop providing services through that account and delete or anonymize related personal information, except where continued retention is legally required, necessary to resolve a dispute, or needed to protect another party's lawful rights.
Lingting is not offered to children under 14. A child under 14 must not register for or use Lingting or provide personal information to us.
A minor who is at least 14 but under 18 should read and accept this Policy and the Lingting myverse Terms of Service with guidance from a parent or other guardian and use the App only with the guardian's consent and supervision.
If we learn, including through notice from a guardian, that we unknowingly collected personal information from a child under 14, we will verify the circumstances and delete or anonymize it promptly as required by law. A guardian may contact us at hi@lingting.ai.
We may update this Policy in response to service changes or legal requirements. For a material change affecting your rights, we will notify you through an in-App dialog, page notice, notification, or another prominent method and obtain renewed consent where required by law.
Material changes include a significant change to processing purposes, methods, or categories of personal information; a change to recipients or cross-border processing; or a significant change to the way you exercise your rights. An updated Policy takes effect on the date identified in it.
